First semester in college?

I am a international student who just moved in from Dubai to Canada for a better life and opportunity but my first semester is going all screwed up i am so much under pressure i am trying to adjust hear .. i don't know what to do .. i screwed up my midterms cauz of not being able to study properly and then i spoke to a lot of people they all told that it will definitely take me some time to adjust around in college.. I definitely feel i am going to fail my first semester.. i don't know why... i even dropped out one course since i felt the load and now am taking 3 courses currently in the first semester.. for my next semester i am doing the same thing.. how bad is it for me to fail my first semester considering the fact that i am new to place( only 3 months in canada) and new to the college life
