Very important skateboard question!?

VERY IMPORTANT! i have to choose between skateboarding and longboarding really soon! i have a crappy world industries right now. i can ollie and pop shuvit, and im learning heelflip and kickflip, but can't do it on my world industries. i can get a girl skateboard, but i dont know if a better skateboard will help my kickflips/heelflips. im goofy footed btw. if i wont be able to improve with a better board, i will longboard instead of skateboard. do you think a girl board will help me improve my flip tricks? ty!
