Can some1 plz help wanna ask some1 out but dont know how?

Ok there is this girl that i was going to ask out but then a dude who i knew did it right before me. I was bummed but i got over it then the next week i found out he was moving on friday. He has been gone and has stopped being mentioned but for the first 2 weeks the person i liked tried to talk to him he never replied but if some1 else did he would respond she asked a close freind of hers what to do and she told her to break up with him. Then she asked me and i told her the same thing i we had this conversation on and off for about 2 weeks then i finally said are you going to break up with him and she said yes and no and stuff i told her what she needed to doa nd stuff and then we never really talked about it after that. I want to ask her out but im now that sure if i should because im not sure if she had broken up with him yet. But he is a really bad person before he left he kissed to people with tongue. She has no idea and i wnat to tell her but the person it happend to is one of my close freinds so i cant tell her and me and one of my freinds think he has a new GF already because he had told her that he had found some1 and was really interested in her. should i ask her out or should i just leave it be. we talk at school and txt alot. plz help me im not sure what to do(plz make the awnsers for middle schoolers) plz dont say your to young to have a gf to THZ TO EVERYONE THAT HELPS!!!!
